The Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance

The Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance provides creative folk with the opportunity to share their passions, their projects and ideas at the informal social night known as Pecha Kucha Night. We were the first regional centre in Australia to host the global phenomenon with our first event in 2008. We host four of these events each year, in different locations on the Sunshine Coast.

Pecha Kucha Night is a set format devised by Tokyo based architects Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham in 2003 as a forum for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. The key to Pecha Kucha Night is its patented system giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. Each presenter shows 20 images, for 20 seconds each. To find our more about the event across the globe check out the international website.
